Tempf is a slowly unfolding 34-minute piece based on Susan Geaney's melodica and flute drones and David Lacey's minimal, resonant percussion. Recorded in Kerry and Dublin this spring, its pace directs attention to the harmonics and harmonies that emerge throughout, and its consistent focus belies its nature as a remote collaboration.

Susan Geaney's work combines composition and improvisation, encompassing indeterminacy, extended techniques, and electro-acoustics. She has studied with Pauline Oliveros (whose deep listening approach is evident here) and collaborated with Kirkos Ensemble.

David Lacey is an improviser and currently a member of Rainfear with David Donohoe. He has previously released collaborations on Fort Evil Fruit with Donohoe, Catherine Sikora & Colm O'Hara, and Andrew Fogarty.
